Wanted: One Ugly Dog

My Mum and Dad have a house in Spain. Last year my mother became a netgeek overnight and can now be found lurking on various online forums dissing Spanish builders.

The other day she found the following online:

Ugly Dog Today

We’ve just rescued what must be the ugliest dog in Spain.

He was dripping wet and shivering cold and this made him look even uglier. His head was down and he looked like he’d just given up hope. We couldn’t leave him; we wrapped him in a blanket and brought him home.

After we’d dried and brushed him, and tried to tidy him up a bit, he still looked ugly, and he just wants to follow us around, like a little lost sheep.

We’re now looking for a permanent home for him. He’s about the size of a cat, with a barrel shaped body and skinny legs, his colour is a dirty shade of black, which means you can hide him in a dark corner when you have visitors.

Unfortunately he doesn’t yet understand ‘doggy treats and toys’, this will take a little time and love.

If he has a redeeming quality, he’s ‘easy’, being small he doesn’t pull on the lead, he walks at a steady pace along side, he can easily be picked up, if you don’t mind being seen giving him a cuddle, and he doesn’t eat much.

So, if you want an ‘easy’ dog and don’t mind people saying “oh my god he’s so ugly”, then give me a call on XXXXXX.

All together now. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

That's not strictly true.I spend far more time slagging off Spanish lawyers, Spanish estate agents, Spanish pool builders, Spanish Town Halls, corrupt Spanish Local Government ..... now you've got me started.
