"What??" I hear you cry, "And your ambitions to be a big-shot producer-slash-director with a string of BAFTAs under your belt for your cutting edge documentary on pebble-dashed housing?? What is to become of you?"
Fear not, that's still up there in my list of Ten Things To Do Before You Hit 30. It's just that journalism was always my dream; I've been writing for as long as I can remember; albeit most of what I scribble ends up in the back of my drawers along with the mothballs and assorted junk I seem to accumulate.
Also television is unpredictable and competitive. As is journalism - and this is the kind of challenge I crave.
Speaking of which, I was checking out this website. If you work as a hack or if you have a blog and are hard up for material - have a look. There is a section devoted especially to subjects that you could write about. Now how many times have you sat there thinking "Oh lordy, what can I write about? I've talked about Tony Blairs wrinkles and the statue of limitations on dog poo. What more do the people want??"
Well here's a couple of todays suggestions:
- Cycle route information.
- Rare breed sausages.
- What do you want to be when you grow up?
- Dognapping on the up.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think it's a bit of a slow news day? :o)
